About NCCVMRC

The National Cold Chain & Vaccine Management Resource Centre (NCCVMRC), located at the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW), New Delhi, serves as the apex technical resource centre for strengthening India’s immunization supply chain. Established as a joint initiative of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and NIHFW the Centre provides technical leadership, policy support, capacity building, and evidence-based guidance for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of cold chain systems across the country.

NCCVMRC plays a vital role in effective vaccine management, development of cold chain equipment specifications, training of programme managers and technicians, and deployment of digital platforms such as NCCMIS and iTMIS. Through its continued efforts, the Centre contributes to ensuring safe, potent, and reliable vaccine delivery in support of the Universal Immunization Programme.

Over 15 years, NCCVMRC has helped strengthen India’s Immunization Supply Chain resilience through improved monitoring, trained personnel, standardized equipment specifications and expanded digital capacity—contributing to reliable vaccine potency and wider immunization coverage.
